Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document restaurants, health tidbits, recipes, and travels. Enjoy!

Comeback Coffee

Comeback Coffee

They call this place “Comeback” Coffee for a reason. Each time I have been since they opened, I leave trying to figure out the next time I’ll have the opportunity to return again. I feel like I have heard a lot about this place for a while, and it is one hundred percent worth the hype that it has been getting. A large porch, a dreamy interior, a breakfast menu that includes granola and overnight oats, and delightful oat milk lattes. This is truly the coffee shop that Memphis has been waiting for.

One of the most iconic aspects of this place is the porch. Essentially, it feels like you are in a small town in Europe. With many more outdoor tables than a usual coffee shop would have, the space lends itself to warm spring days of studying, sipping a latte, and chatting with friends.

Needless to say, the coffee is fantastic. Some may even say, the best in Memphis! Not only do they have hot lattes other espresso options, but they also have coffee soda and chai tea. You really cannot go wrong with anything. My personal favorite is an oat milk vanilla latte!

Now, one word of advice to you for your first time you go: get there between 7am and 1pm. From Monday through Saturday they serve breakfast and lunch lasting until 1pm. Unlike many similar coffee shops to this in Memphis, their food menu is pretty extensive and all pretty healthy. Not to mention that I have found it to be pretty reasonably priced in comparison to many similar dishes around Memphis. For breakfast, I would for sure go for either the oatmeal or the granola cereal. Everything in them are unbelievable fresh and you can just tell that it is made 100% from scratch. If going from 11-1p for lunch, they also have a tomato soup that is stellar for a chilly day, or if you are simply feeling under the weather. Not only does this place care about making quality coffee, but they care about having the food match the level of quality of everything else in this shop, making the whole menu absolutely delicious.

So yes, you could say I am a pretty big fan of Comeback Coffee. I find it so unique compared to many of the other coffee shops in Memphis, and know that it will be a major attraction within the Pinch District for a long while. Give yourself a treat this exam season by grabbing a spot on the porch, sipping an iced latte, and getting done all of the work that you need to get done. Then be prepared to find yourself coming back again.
